Iceland | Behind the scenes by Jack the FlipperEvery story about passion in life is connected with personal information about the people standing behind a project and pushing their work to the limit. Turning an idea and vision into reality is only possibly if you give it everything.Going for a trip to Iceland means very good preparation. Clever segmentation of the travel is Alpha and Omega. Our first trip to the land of fire & ice lasted 2 weeks. 1 week in the north of Iceland and 1 week in the south of Iceland. Renting an all-terrain vehicle (see photo) is absolute necessary to get to the many locations that are not directly located at the Ring Road/Route 1.On the photos you can see the maps pin-point location, standing at the ice floes of the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, with it’s beautiful and rare ice blocks floating in the lagoon and resting on the black sands of the beach. The waterfalls of Iceland, and there are dozens, are also popular and stunning natures features! Incredible landscapes and nature everywhere…that is what Iceland’s all about!Nature is our Mainspring!
Come and join us on our journey….
Godafoss Herd of Horses 1 | IcelandShooting at such stunning landscapes in Iceland let you forget sometimes that you are not alone on this vast island in the north.Jack the Flipper located the immense Godafoss waterfall (waterfall of the gods) to get some images around that in the northern part of Iceland situated natural spectacle.Frozen and almost snowed under in winter, this gigantic waterfall you see on our photo is the most spectacular under the waterfalls of Iceland. The water falls 12m down over a width of 30m.Shooting landscapes everywhere in the world is also a great opportunity to discover randomly local cultures and their peculiarities. So did we, standing there at the water monument of Iceland, shooting different scenes of it, suddenly , in the distance, a dust cloud appears and the stamping of the Icelandic horses shook the ground to their arrival. The World is our dream!Come and join us on our journey, if you appreciate our work, follow us!Here you can support our journey through landscape photography & artwork:

Waterdrop Studio Setup by Jack the Flipper | Behind the scenesJack the Flipper is a project that arose through friendship and common interests.Today we would like to concentrate not on the evolving processes of final photographies, sure there is a lot more to come from JtF than you may think, but you’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg yet:) Here we would like to share our project of high-speed photographing water drops, with you.Our first project evolved through sharing common interest of creating something from nothing. Just the idea of it in the heads, good friendship talk about their passion for art and photography, let to this great and creative project of ours!Inspired by german creative photographer Markus Reugels, Jack the Flipper got the idea of photographing natures elements from a specific point of view. Giving that common water theme an artistic touch and experimenting with it made us feel free and passionate about it every night that we built our Waterdrop Studio all by ourselves.Hours and hours of sleepless nights we spent building that scientific studio, researching every step that has to be made! Finally after two weeks, we pulled 6 images out of 10000 pieces! Made from absolutely passion for art. These 6 images reflect the beginning of a true and passionate project called Jack the Flipper! We want you to join us on that journey! More, we need YOU the people, the little flippers to take that road of Inspiration with us. Sharing is the most complex part of being an artist, getting involved and make it personal for us, as artists and nature’s lovers!Feel free to ask us anything (most likely about photography & art:)) about our steps or project in general! We like to communicate with you, our fans and companions. If you like further informations please visit following link to deviant art.com:Have a good start into the week! -JtF
